When can we start making the application for UK visa???
I would simply categories this into two as application done within UK (in country application) and application done outside UK (out country application) irrespective of what visa category you are going to apply whether its tier2/ tier4/ PBS dependent etc.
If you are applying from UK you can still make online application and wait to book for your biometric appointment so you can make Intime application before your current leave expires. However, the good news for in-country applicants is:- If you are applying for a long-term visa (for eg: ILR) and your visa expires between Jan 24th and 31st July you can switch to a long-term UK visa until 31 July 2020. You can apply online. If you are currently living in UK (Short term visa holders) and your visa expires between 24th Jan and 31st July you visa is extended till 31st July if you cannot leave UK. This will be applicable to any Visiting visa/ tier4 student visa/ tier5/ tier2 ICT/ any short term visa holders.
UKCAS will be opening some of their centres from 1st June. The list centres that will open from 1st June can be found in this link https://www.gov.uk/ukvcas.
If you are applying for a UK visa outside UK (for eg: India, Philippines, UAE etc) you can still make an online application or would rather say complete your online application which will not matter make much of a difference as your application will not be complete unless your give the biometric. So, an out-country applicant will have to wait until their respective VAC centres are opened and started accepting applications. Also,UKVI will be prioritise customers who have been waiting for a decision before accepting new applications which,means there will be an expected delay in the processing time due to pending applications to be prioritised
